Real Wedding: Areum and Jon

We were lucky to have Areum and Jon’s wedding at the Carnegie Institute published on District Weddings  earlier in December. I wanted to share it in full for our readers and show off the great subtle details we added in to establish a sweet Ombre theme. They wanted to keep the wedding romantic, soft, and use a color palette of blush to lavender in an ombre gradation.  They held their ceremony and reception both at Carnegie with Spilled Milk  catering with a 4 course menu of Short Ribs, cornbread and shrimp, and ending the night with a s’mores bar. Jon is a DJ with MyDeeJay  and so of course the music was a huge part of the night making sure that people kept to the dance floor! Enjoy!

Real Wedding: Maggie and Gareth

Maggie and Gareth were married last year at Carnegie Institute for Science and they really knew how to throw a great party. They were married in the rotunda after doing their first look at the Donovan House roof top lounge. The couple really wanted to infuse their wedding with personality and special nods so they gave guests hand made bowls as favors for each family. Dinner and dancing followed, but the really unique portion of the night was Carnivale. In Costa Rica, at weddings, guests don masks and other fun party ensembles and really cut loose. Spanish salsa music is played and the guests at this wedding went nuts. Maggie and Gareth brought in feather boas, maraca’s, beads, ornate decorative masks, and noise makers to start up the party. Everyone piled into the dance floor and it invigorated the rest of the evening leading up to the couples’ sparkler send-off. Guests were such good sports about it, as it was raining but they wanted to make sure this adorable couple got the send-off they deserved!

Real Wedding: Darius and Marissa

I love a winter wedding, and this gorgeous evening was held at the Carnegie Institute last December!
