Real Wedding: Kathy + Philip {part 2}

25 Jan

To wrap up Kathy and Philips gorgeous sunset inspired wedding, we move the cocktail hour and reception to another beautiful ballroom at the Omni Shoreham. The couple wants to mix up the seating arrangement for their 200 guests with a mix of banquet style kings tables and rounds of 8-10. A white dancefloor was brought in by Davinvi’s Florist, who also created beautiful arrangements of babies breath, hydrangea, and a mass of floating and pillar candles.

Guests were treated to a candy bar filled with yummy sweets and bags to take home treats at the end of the night. Enjoy and if you did not see part one check it out here and best wishes to the happy couple!

Real Wedding: Kathy + Philip

24 Jan

Kathy and Philip celebrated their wedding at the Omni Shoreham last fall and even though it was a crazy night of storms and bad weather, they didn’t let the rain ruin their day. The overall idea was to create a color story that mimicked sunset and beautiful peach, lavender, and pink tones.

The ceremony unfortunately had to be moved inside due to pending storms, but they were married in a traditional Filipino wedding with personal touches such as a lasso ceremony and the bearing of coins and bible by family members.

Bridesmaids wore peachy-pink gowns and carried bouquets of purple lisianthus, stock, and roses. Kathy wore her hair down for the ceremony with a beautiful 2 tiered veil and Jimmy Choo shoes. Enjoy the first part of their wedding story and check back in tomorrow for the beautiful reception details, and a big thank you to ChrisBaltazar for the gorgeous photos!

Real Wedding: Jessica and Matt

4 Jan

Classic, timeless, and elegant are the best words to describe Matt and Jessica’s wedding from last year. Their wedding was captured by the talented Jenny McQueen of George Street Photo. They were married at Holy Trinity in Georgetown with their reception following at the Whittemore House.  I love working with Shelly of B Floral Design, and her flowers were effortlessly chic and I loved the all cream palate. The gentleman enjoyed cigars at the end of the evening and guests were given yummy Philly style pretzels from the Pretzel Bakery. Enjoy!

Real Wedding: Ashely + Steve part II

19 Dec

To follow-up on yesterdays sweet and romantic wedding ceremony of Ashley and Steve, here is the super fun reception at the Mayflower Hotel. The night was kicked off by an incredibly sweet surprise toast/skit by the father of the groom, then followed up with a night of insane dancing and partying! I loved working with these two and their guests kept the night interesting and fun!  Ashley and Steve gave their guests cupcakes by Fluffy Thoughts as favors at their seats, and each table was named after a president and kept with their DC themed nuptials. Check out part one here

Special thanks again to Love Life Images for the amazing evening and beautiful work
