Classic Winter DC Real Wedding

16 Feb

Ashley and Tom were a delight to work with as we planned their February wedding over the course of the year. We wanted to create a vision that was classic with lush textured greens, crisp whites, and accented with shades of slate and silver. We worked with B. Floral to design a center Kings Table that was just breath taking the day of the wedding.

Guests met at St. John’s Episcopal in Georgetown for the beautiful ceremony on a day that had just the slightest hint of snow flurries, but held off until the wedding was completed! They then joined the couple at Carnegie Institute for dinner and dancing by MyDeeJay’s Mike Bell. We provided a new wooden bar with custom fabric inserts that coordinated with the wedding design. At the end of the night guests were treated to a take away of homemade chocolate chip cookies and spiked hot coco in monogramed sleeves. Enjoy the first part of their wonderful day, and make sure to check out the reception tomorrow!

Real Wedding: Sparkle in the Mountains Reception

5 Nov

Here is the beautiful reception follow up to Cherrie and Jorge’s Stone Manor Country Club wedding. They wanted to infuse beautiful textures and sparkle to create a sexy and romantic reception all tied together. I loved having Michelle from Meant to Be Calligraphy work on these large Mirror Seating Chart which sat surrounded by floating candles and special La Tavola Linens. Inside the tent we mixed La Tavola textured linens on rectangle and round tables with an assortment of tall and low centerpieces. The binding tie being that everything was lit in a beautiful ambient glow of candles.

Real Wedding Ceremony and Featured! Cherrie and Jorge

3 Nov

Cherrie and Jorge wanted something so special and unique that I really took pleasure in creating their sparkle filled and romance laced wedding day. They were married in the fall of 2013 at Stone Manor Country Club in Maryland with a small intimate wedding filled with candle light and sparkly lights. Their wedding was featured earlier this year on Style Me Pretty that you can see Here .

Cherrie wanted the colors of her wedding to be hues of dusty lilac and pink and accents of sparkle and silver. They were married under a large tree next to the Manor House. The bride carried a textured purple bouquet with ranunculus and roses while the maids for lilac in a beautiful chiffon material. guests sprinkled the couple with lavender as they walked down the aisle as man and wife!

Real Wedding: Laura-Kate and Eitan

2 Jan

Laura-Kate and Eitan were two of the best clients we had all year because of the sheer volume of personality they brought to their wedding. They had so much joy for each other and life and it was so refreshing to end the year with an amazing couple. They were married at Temple Micah in D.C and then the party moved to Sequoia in Georgetown for an all out dance fest. The couple opted for a first look at the beautiful St. Albans school before they joined their family at the church for the signing of the Ketubah. The brides family create a personalized quilt that was hung at the reception behind the Pie Table that was an assortment of delicious pies brought in by family. The couple brought in their personality with favors for the guests as a joke to their backgrounds. She had moonshine and he had bagels and shmear- and everyone loved it! Enjoy!
